The law and order enforcement in the state of Jammu and Kashmir (the integral part of India ) has become an enormous challenge for our armed forces personnel. Intensively increasing attacks on the armed forces during counter-terror operations and patrolling has reached an intolerable stage. But our soldier is in such a situation in Kashmir where on his front, he has to encounter terrorist and at the rear side, the stone pelting Kashmiri, standing in between them, who is he fighting for ?? This question might incidentally strike our soldiers. But one must acknowledge the fact that they are not personal enemies of either the jihadi- terrorists or the people of Kashmir. They are fighting for the greatest cause of preserving and protecting the sovereignty, unity, integrity and the national security of India. All of pseudo-intelligentsia ( students, professors, research-scholars etc)and ultra-liberal media must understand the fact that the Constitution of India has given them the freedom of speech and expression, and their liberty is not above the mandate of the Constitution, which is to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India ( fundamental duties article 51A(b) ). Thanks to social media, the voices that were so far censored by the ultra-liberal media houses to preserve their vested interests, are now finding adequate space for expression. The videos coming out ( all kinds ) have shaken every patriotic citizen to the core. In such extreme situations of threats, tieing up a stone to an army jeep to control the aggravating attacks and to bring about a stringent law and order enforcement is justifiable. None of the citizens of India wants the Kashmiri to suffer, but they must, by all means, stop supporting the jihadi forces. Finally it's not only the responsibility of our government of India or the state government in Kashmir, but of all the civil society groups, NGOs, Media houses, think thanks scholars among others, to win over the hearts of Kashmiris and make them stand for the Idea of India and to make them reverberate with Indian Nationalism. We may win Kashmir by successful militancy but winning over the hearts of Kashmiris is the challenging task at hand. I strongly believe that Kashmir was, is and will always be an integral part of India.
